A note from Whim 'n Rhythm:

After much consideration, we, the Whim ’n Rhythm Class of 2020, have made the difficult decision to cancel our World Tour. We have been monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 virus for weeks and, until the most recent updates, were hopeful that our plans would remain unaffected. Unfortunately, we have elected as a group not to travel at this time because of Yale’s advisory against nonessential travel due to the global COVID-19 outbreak, as well as national travel restrictions. This outbreak has caused many other musical groups on Yale’s campus to cancel their travel plans because of general concern for members’ health and safety, both during the tour and after, as well as the health of those who would attend our concerts, and we were forced to come to the same decision earlier today.

We are devastated by this outcome for many reasons, not least because we were so excited to travel and meet our hosts, sponsors, donors, and other collaborators who worked so hard to make this tour possible. We have been working closely with you all for the last year to put together what would have been a wonderful tour. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, we would have surpassed our ambitious revenue goals, but now we will, unfortunately, be taking considerable financial losses. To all who donated or supported us in any way, we are incredibly grateful and are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We want to reiterate how deeply we regret these circumstances, and we hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy.
